There are several paths for U.S. Sales
and Sales Operations professionals including but not limited to:


Regional Account Manager
:

Educate rare disease customers and identify patients impacted by rare disease and ensure high levels of visibility to Alexion’s disease awareness initiatives and a high degree of customer satisfaction in assigned territory.


Thought Leader Liaison
:

Field-based position within the US commercial organization that will focus on commercial KOL relationship engagement, promotional speaker training and development, and supports the execution of promotional patient programs.


Patient Education Manager
:

Engage with patients on the Alexion Rare Disease patient journey and their liaison for information. A key field-based role responsible for engaging the patient community, conducting dedicated patient education programs, partnering with local advocacy groups, local chapters of national advocacy groups, and supporting offices.


You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 6 years Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical sales or sales operations experience

  • Ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, team-oriented environment on a consistent basis

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully seek out and qualify leads and profile new accounts

  • Ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities

  • Ability to travel within territory on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and weekend travel

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • The duties of this role are generally conducted in a field environment. As is typical of a field-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to: travel by public transportation, automobile, train, or plane; work comfortably in a clinical setting; use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; problem solve; engage in complex and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours.


We would prefer for you to have:

  • Advanced or master’s degree

  • Sales experience in the orphan or ultra-orphan area
